DATELINE: Africa 2016
There are few truly life changing events in one’s life. I was fortunate to experience one this year.
The Maasai Mara is the Kenyan portion of the Serengeti ecosystem. A broad grassland and surrounding highlands that support one of the largest concentration of wildlife in Africa. It is famous for the annual migration of the grazing animals.
Noted photographer and teacher David DuChemin organized the trip. A group of 18 gathered in Nairobi, Kenya to begin a 9 day adventure.
We crossed Kenya by road and by plane. We saw a beautiful landscape, encountered amazing animals and met wonderful people. I will be writing posts over the next few weeks that will scratch the surface of the experience.
